Training

Threat Assessment Resources International provides training to help businesses identify, assess, and manage individuals who make threats or engage in other concerning behavior in the workplace. This training is recommended for any staff members responsible for responding to threats, maintaining a safe workplace environment, or diffusing employee problems, to include managers, human resource personnel, corporate security, employee assistance/ombuds personnel, secretarial/front desk personnel, and mailroom personnel.

  • Basic Threat Assessment Training - Appropriate for all personnel.  Includes prevalence of workplace violence, case studies of workplace shootings and insider sabotage, basic principles of threat assessment in the workplace, and establishing a workplace threat assessment team.
  • Advanced Threat Assessment Training - Appropriate for established threat assessment teams. Provides the team an opportunity to walk through a table-top exercise on a fictitious threat from start to finish
  • Specialized Training - Training on bomb threat assessment is also available.
Consultation

Threat Assessment Resources International provides businesses with consultation in three major areas:

  • Team Building - Providing assistance in creating a threat assessment team within the workplace and developing relationships with law enforcement, mental health systems, and other key entities.
  • Policy Review – Developing or reviewing and enhancing a company’s existing policies and procedures governing threat assessment.  Includes review of information sharing and case management procedures.
  • Threat Investigation - Providing help in investigating, assessing, and managing individual threat cases.
Research

Studies have demonstrated the importance of perceived safety in reducing violence and sabotage in the workplace. Threat Assessment Resources International provides research services to help businesses assess and enhance the workplace climate through anonymous surveys of employees, supervisors, management, and others identified by the organization.
